New York Botanical Garden
200th Street & Southern Blvd.
A national historic landmark, the New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) occupies
250 acres, 40 of which are pre-settlement forest. NYBG features 27 outdoor
gardens and plant collections and the nation's most beautiful Victorian
conservatory, the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, a beautiful crystal palace
that is home to exotic plants from around the world. Other special sites
to visit are the Everett Children's Adventure Garden, the Peggy Rockefeller
Rose Garden and the T.H. Everett Rock Garden. And dont miss the
narrated tram and golf cart tours. NYBG is especially magical during
the holidays, when the Victorian Train Show transforms the Conservatory
into a timeless wonderland.
