The largest metropolitan zoo in the United States, the Bronx Zoo has more than 6,000 animals and award-winning exhibits like Jungle World , an amazing indoor rain forest where Asian gibbons, hornbills, tapirs and many other rare species thrive. Journey to the Himalayas is home to red pandas, snow leopards and white-naped cranes. One of the most exciting exhibits is the new Congo Gorilla Forest where you can get nose-to-nose with Western lowland gorillas. The Bronx Zoo is also the heart of the Wildlife Conservation Society's work to save wildlife and wild places around the globe.
